REKADOS CAFE AND RESTAURANT

Exploring different restos became a hobby for my hubby and I ever since we met. And one Saturday, as my friend and I converse through phone telling her my newly discovered resto, she asked me why shouldn’t I write my dining experiences, in Tagaytay particularly since I am living nearby, then days after I decided to give it a try. So here’s my first time…

It was almost lunch and we are already hungry when we travelled to Tagaytay to get our marriage contract. On our way, we saw posters of Rekados Café and Restaurant and quickly headed to the place.

When we arrived, we are fascinated with the façade of the restaurant itself. We are much more impressed with its modern Filipino-Spanish inspired interiors .The place could accommodate around 40 guests where everyone could experience exquisite and delicious foods.

They offer different varieties from rice dishes to pasta which numerous are good to share. Of course we ordered our favorites, lengua, steak and breakfast tapa (Sorry, I have not got the menu names).

Aside from the main building, it also has an open-air extension where buffets are served. This extension could also held events such as small wedding and baptismal.

After having our tummies filled, we took a walk and found the place so relaxing. We are also amazed with the creative designs in their restroom area.

What I enjoyed also is the Balai Pasalubong where we found a lot of take home goodies. What I mean of a lot is we can hardly choose what to buy. They sell goodies from the entire Philippines as well as home made ones; from strawberry jams, peanut brittle, polvoron, sylvanna, peanuts, cashew, crackers, to home made juices, sardines, and so many more.

Rekados Café and Restaurant is located along Santa Rosa- Tagaytay Highway. Drop by anytime and you will surely enjoy the place and the food.
